初めまして、インスタグラムとこのサイトでJapanese Potteryというアカウントを運営しています。
陶芸歴は8年で、生涯楽しめるものを見つけられた幸運に心から感謝しています。
ただ、将来自分の作品を売って生活しようとか陶芸教室を開こう、といった志は持っておりませんしその才能があるとも思っておりません。
一方でこれだけ素晴らしい日本の陶芸を海外の方々にもっと知っていただきたいと思っています。2024年度は訪日観光客が3687万人にも達しています。体験教室に参加される海外旅行者の方もおられるのではないか思いますが、潜在的需要はこんなものではないはずです。
また日本で暮らす外国の方も急速に増えています。彼らもまた日本文化との接点を求めています。
私も海外の方と話す機会がありますが、海外の方々は日本文化に憧れているだけでなく、体験したいと思っています。着物着付けイベントやお茶会があれだけ盛況であることが証明していますす。海外で日本好きの方々は日本で具体的に日本文化を体験したいと思っているのです。
ただ皆さんの中にはどうやって参加者を募集していいか分からない。海外にコネもない。コミュニケーションが取れるか不安、という方もおられると思います。
私は近い将来、陶芸を体験してみたいと思っている海外からの旅行者や日本に暮らす外国人、そしてその場を提供したいと考えている陶芸教室をつなぐビジネスをやりたいと思っています。まだまだわからないことも多いのですが、今後、色んな工夫をしながら海外に日本の陶芸の魅力を発信していくつもりです。

なお本業はサラリーマンで、やろうとしているこのビジネスは副業です。何より海外の方とコニュニケーションを取ることが好きなので、趣味も兼ねています。したがってかなりゆるいビジネスになると思います。共感していただける方がおられましたら幸いです。

Hello, I run an account called Japanese Pottery on Instagram and this website.
I’ve been doing pottery for eight years, and I’m truly grateful for the good fortune of finding something I can enjoy for a lifetime.
However, I have no ambition to make a living by selling my artwork in the future, nor do I believe I have the talent for it.
On the other hand, I would like more people overseas to know about the wonderful art of Japanese pottery. In 2024, the number of tourists visiting Japan reached 36.87 million. I think there are some overseas travelers who participate in pottery workshops, but the potential demand must be much greater than that.at.
Furthermore, the number of foreigners living in Japan is rapidly increasing. They, too, are seeking connections with Japanese culture.
I also have opportunities to talk with people from overseas, and I can say that they not only admire Japanese culture, but they also want to experience it. The popularity of kimono dressing events and tea ceremonies proves this. People overseas who love Japan want to experience Japanese culture in person.
However, I’m sure some of you don’t know how to recruit participants, don’t have connections overseas, or are worried about communication.
In the near future, I want to start a business that connects overseas travelers and foreigners living in Japan who want to experience pottery making with pottery studios that want to provide such opportunities.
